Lily Allen, the English pop star, has put her Breitling watch up for sale by sending a Twitter out to all her fans. She wrote: ”Does anyone want to buy a brand new Breitling. It’s too big for me.” Complaining that the watch didn’t fit… hello? Did she try it on?… she offered it to the public for a reduced price. Having bought it in English pounds for £3,800, she was selling it for £3,200.

In dollars, that comes out to about $5,295, reduced from $6,288.

She then tweeted “God, I’m an idiot.”

Don’t know who she is? She’s young, hip and likes to party. Lily Allen was born in 1985 and has already made a name for herself in the music biz. Along with Amy Winehouse, Allen’s break out onto the music scene, led to 2009 being named by the media as “year of the women”, when five female artists were nominated for the Mercury Prize. In 2006, Allen’s first single, “Smile”, hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart, in December of that year her debut album Alright, Still came out. In 2008, the album was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award in the category of “Best Alternative Music Album.”
